Truly risen is the King of Peace
Alleluia, Alleluia the Lord is risen
Mary went on Sunday at the time of dawn
Carrying spices and sweet ointment for the Body
But Jesus had truly risen and conquered
Therefore, the angel rolled the stone away
But Mary stood outside weeping
Looking at the empty tomb, she was crying
She saw Jesus as a stranger
And knew not that He is the beloved One
They told him the Lord is risen
He said it can’t be; even in dreams
They said He visited us and said “Peace”
I must see the place of His wounds
But because of lack of faith
The Lord appeared to him another time
He saw the wounds and was ashamed
When He asked “Where is your faith”
Thomas cried out “O Compassionate”
I will not doubt ever again
(O look at His Hands
Examine His feet)2
(Feel His wounded side
And look at His face)2
He is the Lord
Truly He’s risen
(Early in the morning
I went to the tomb)2
(With precious perfumes
with ointments and spices)2
Reverence to our Lord
Truly He’s risen!
(But the stone away was rolled
And Jesus gone from the tomb)2
(I stood there amazed
and my hands were trembling)2
Where is the Lord?
Down the Via Dolorosa
In Jerusalem that day
The soldiers tried
To clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die
on Calvary
He was bleeding from the beating
There were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns
Upon His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out
For His death
Down the Via Dolorosa
(You are the One who protects me
From all evil
Holding my right hand
My heart rejoices with You)2
Refrain:
(You are the Lord and Shepherd
You carry me on Your shoulders
You take me to the pastures
And Your love engulfs me)2
And Your love engulfs me
(You are with me
You would never leave me
Your voice tells me
Do not be afraid My son)2
(You raise me up
(My heart remembers O Jesus
When I come to You in my distress
And leave You when I feel strong
Pushing away Your embracing hands with my hands)2
Refrain:
(Strange how You hear me
Strange how You have mercy on me
Strange how You call me
Even when my heart is hard on You)2
Even when my heart is hard on You
(When my tears overflow
I see Your hands guide me
Refrain:
(Who abides in your heart
It has to be only one, out of two
Either God or Satan
It has to be only one, out of two)2
My heart is a little house
It was abandoned and ruined
(It has no water or light
And also lacks happiness)2
One day He knocked on my heart
I opened and it was My Lord
(He came in and dined with me
(Jesus is my companion in this life
He is the only helper to my soul)2
If despair rips through my heart
His hands mend my broken heart
And lift away the dust of my sins
He hears my voice when I cry out
(He brings the ship of my life into shore
And rescues my soul with a lifeline)2
With a lifeline
(He is the companion of my way
There is none other but my beloved God)2
Night of the Last Supper
Night of the Last Supper
He took bread and broke it
(And said: This is My Body)2
Refrain:
Our Master, gave to us
The wine of His love
He saved us and revived us
(Jesus the love of my heart)3
Night when my Lord suffered
Night when my Lord suffered
He took wine and gave thanks
(and said: This is My Blood)2
This is the food of souls
Refrain:
Our Redeemer, invited us
To live by Him, who is above
Offering us, a new covenant Part of His, amazing love
He took bread, and blessed it
He thanked the Father, and said
This is my Body, eat of It
Our Lord Jesus, broke the bread
He gave the cup, and also said:
“My covenant for life, now begins
This is my Blood, shed for you
For the remission, of sins”
